Today (September 10, 2024), Division of Landscaping and building organized a training course on disaster preparedness and preparedness, along with reporting the results of operations according to the emergency risk management plan for fiscal year 2024 for the 6-month period (October 1, 2023 – March 31, 2024). At the meeting room of the building There were 55 participants from 3 agencies: the Smart Farm and Landscape Architecture Center, the Building Section, and the Central Service Section.
In this regard, we were honored to have Asst. Prof. Dr. Nukoon Suksuwan, Assistant to the Rector, as a speaker. The topic was on flood, storm, and fire prevention guidelines to prevent loss of life and property, and to manage existing resources to control the situation as best as possible. In planning various disaster prevention measures, the university has appointed advisors and a working group of the Disaster and Emergency Coordination and Resolution Unit to supervise and monitor potential natural disasters such as floods or flooding. Various plans have been made, such as building a surrounding embankment (dive embankment), having a water pump system to drain water, dredging canals, monkey cheeks, and dredging weeds.
In addition, there is also preparation for fire preparedness. Which has received cooperation from various agencies that have initiated the project to train on fire extinguishing and practice evacuation.
